THIS STORY ADVENTURE IS WRITTEN SPECIFICALLY FOR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL "GOOD NEWS FARM" BUT MAY BE USED SEPARATELY IN SUNDAY SCHOOL, CHILDREN'S CHURCH OR BED TIME STORY TIME.
THE BOX MAKER is a five day story designed to last fifteen minutes each day. Each chapter ends at an exciting point encouraging students to return the next day and discover how yesterday's situation is resolved. The story comes complete with script and black and white line drawings suitable for coloring by the leader.
This adventure revolves around our Christian family, the Conleys, who own Shadow River Bed and Breakfast Inn. Chip and Clare, the twins, are earnest young Christians who love their family and extended family. This time the twins are looking forward to seeing their dear friend, Miss Sadie, from Belly Acres Farm, who plans to celebrate her 90th birthday at the Inn.
The twins and their Christian friends find themselves in big trouble at school. It seems that their "Lunch With the Lord Club" has offended some of the teachers and the kid's Bibles are taken from them. They are forbidden to meet or pray at the school. The menacing threats frighten the kids and no one knows what to do.
Until....Miss Sadie tells a story from her own childhood in Shadow River decades years ago. Her father, her school and her experience with difficult people teach the twins a lesson in gracious tolerance.
